On today’s show we welcome returning guest, Federico A. de Jesús. He is an advisor for the Center for American Progress. You may remember him from the last time we had him on the show to discuss the PR Self-Determination Act and his work with Power 4 Puerto Rico. We also welcome Laura Rodriguez, she’s the Vice President for Government Affairs at the Center for American Progress. She’s worked for members of congress in the past, one being U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, who she advised on Latino policy, outreach, and media.

We’re going to discuss their recent essay for the Center for American Progress, titled An Urgent Rescue Plan for Puerto Rico. In the piece, one section was dedicated to the 8 actions the executive branch should take to aid Puerto Rico. We’re focusing on that part of the article in this episode.
